  • mackerel (or any other oily fish)
  • freshly ground salt and pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • spring onion chopped
  • fresh coriander or mint leaves
  • whole red chilli/ wet chilli paste
  • fish masala

sauce:

  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • finely sliced ginger
  • 1 spring onion
  • chilli powder
  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • coconut oil or olive oil

wash the fish and let the water drain
marinate in salt, pepper and fish masala
when marinated (an hour), place on a hot grill with coconut oil or other
grill until cooked on both sides

sauce preparation
mix the sauce ingredients together,
you can blend or leave spring onions, greens, ginger whole

serve on a bed of whole-wheat couscous, and drizzled with the sauce once cooked
